Rachel Willner - falconer
Rachel Willner volunteers at SARDIS Raptor Center in Ferndale, WA where she participates in both the rehabilitation of orphaned and injured raptors and community outreach and education events. To further advance her skills, Rachel became an apprentice level falconer in January of 2020, beginning the two year-long adventure of flying a passage female American Kestrel named Nuance. Originally from South Lake Tahoe, CA, Rachel relocated to WA state seven years ago to pursue her passion of working with food security, and after several years in the Okanogan Valley as an AmeriCorps VISTA, she transitioned to Bellingham and the natural foods industry
