Joni brooks - bird by bird

Joni Brooks is a first grade teacher at Riverside Elementary in the Boise School District.  She has taught in public elementary schools for 22 years.  Joni joined the Bird by Bird Idaho program the first year it was offered. For over ten years, she has integrated this program and her love of birds into her classroom.  Joni enjoys educating children about birds and her contagious excitement for the subject has helped foster an expanding community of young birders!  She lives in Boise, Idaho and grew up in Joseph, Oregon--a place known for its beauty and nature.

Thursday, June 4th at 10:30am - Learn How to Draw an American Kestrel - Learn how to draw an American kestrel, our smallest falcon.   Be sure to have supplies ready - two pieces of paper, pencil, and crayons.   Watch Rachel Willner’s presentation just before Joni’s art activity to see a live kestrel!
