Celebration Park

Tim Syreen

Tim Syreen is an Interpretive Specialist at Celebration Park.  For three years he has educated Idaho students who come to the park on field trips to learn about the region's archaeological and cultural resources.  He also provides educational tours to the general public.  Tim is originally from Whidbey Island, WA and moved to Idaho five years ago.  He has a background in Environmental History and Social Studies.  

Amelia Barton

Amelia is the Programs Coordinator for Canyon County Parks, Cultural, and Natural Resources and helps run field trip programs at Celebration Park.  She grew up in Boston and graduated with a degree in Environmental Education from the University of San Francisco. She has been teaching outdoor education for five years and is passionate about sharing her love of the outdoors with children. After serving an AmeriCorps term for the city of Boise at a garden school, she began working for Canyon County. She enjoys connecting students from the Treasure Valley with the wonderful historical and ecological resources at Celebration Park!

Tuesday, June 2nd at 11am - Exploring the Past at Celebration Park - First, we’ll join Amelia for a virtual tour of the petroglyphs at Celebration Park. Then, we’ll learn about the atlatl and ancient hunting techniques from Tim.
