In this episode, we talk with author Josh Jackson about lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management. Josh didn’t know anything about BLM lands until he was looking for an escape during the pandemic. After visiting a few BLM managed areas in California, he decided to make it his mission to visit every BLM managed area in the state, and he was inspired to launch The Forgotten Lands Project. As he started reaching more and more people with his stories and photos about California’s BLM lands, he decided to write a book! The Enduring Wild from HeyDay Books is scheduled for publication on July 1st, 2025.
