Job opportunity: Natural Resources Seasonal Field Technician, Idaho National Guard
Technicians are needed to perform terrestrial vegetation and wildlife monitoring, including occasional nighttime surveys. Technicians are expected to have or quickly gain a working knowledge of and ability to identify plant, bird, mammal, and reptile species associated with sagebrush/grass steppe of the Great Basin. Site specific training will be provided; however, preference will be given to candidates with prior experience.
Annual projects including, but not limited to: vegetation transects; rare plant and noxious/invasive weed inventories; rodent, small mammal, and reptile inventories (including live trapping), avian surveys (migratory, sage-brush obligates, and raptors), bat surveys and others. Data entry/management and analyses using Microsoft suite. Potential for project management to include data collection/query/analysis and report writing. May also require multi-day in- state travel.

Hours: Full-time, 40hrs/week. Work day hours vary based on work tasks to include early mornings, regular days (e.g., 0600-1600) and some nights).
Salary: $16.22 - $20.25/hr (Salary based on qualifications/experience)
